    NFL star Jared Allen sells Scottsdale mansion to KB Home CEO for $10.3M

    Former NFL defensive end Jared Allen and his wife, Amy, sold their north Scottsdale mansion to KB Home CEO Jeffrey Mezger for $10.3 million. The five-time Pro Bowl player built the 12,500-square-foot stone estate in DC Ranch’s posh Silverleaf enclave in 2013. He paid $1.05 million for the land. The seven-bedroom, 12-bathroom house has a home theater, gym, multiple kitchens and laundry rooms, and a resort-style pool with a lazy river. The Kansas City Chiefs drafted Allen in 2004.     Michael Cohen Associate Agrees to Cooperate With Prosecutors

    A longtime business partner of Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, has agreed to cooperate with prosecutors, according to people familiar with the matter. Evgeny “Gene” Freidman, a New York City taxi mogul, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Albany County court to one count of criminal tax fraud. As part of his plea agreement, he agreed to help prosecutors with state or federal investigations, people familiar with the matter said. It is likely he will assist federal prosecutors in Manhattan with their probe into Mr. Cohen, one of those people said.     Gwendolyn Carlson doesn’t see what all the fuss is about. In the days leading up to her college graduation, people kept congratulating her and wanting to hear her story, saying she was an inspiration. Her school wanted to take photos of her. Her community’s newsletter wanted to write a story. For the second time in a week, a rattlesnake has been captured on video in a fight with another animal.     Glencoe, Ill.–based Optima Inc. has reinvested in the Optima Sonoran Village apartment community in Scottsdale, Ariz., through a partnership with Des Moines, Ia.-based Principal Real Estate Investors Inc. The partnership acquired Optima Sonoran Village Phases I and II for $200 million from an existing Optima-sponsored venture. JLL brokered the equity for the deal.
